The Real Chef Wife of Vancouver

This bread is a great appetizer for parties or if you have a group of people over to watch the game. Its easy to make and even better than garlic bread. You can also play around with the ingredients in it by adding different cheese or seasonings. Its best served hot so you can pull it apart and experience its full cheesy goodness.

Ingredients:

1 loaf uncut good quality bread
1 package pre sliced monterey jack cheese *or any cheese of choice
1 stick of butter
5 green onions chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
salt and pepper

Directions:

1. Slice the loaf of bread in a crosshatch pattern without cutting through to the bottom

2. Insert cheese slices into the cross hatches

3. Melt butter with chopped green onions, garlic powder, poppy seeds, salt and pepper

4. Drizzle mixture over the bread
