Holy these are amazing…. they are light fluffy cheesy sweet and best of all have a peppery taste. They are the prefect scones and it is impossible to eat only one of these. My moms book club ate the whole batch that I made but this is a MUST try recipe and going into the family cookbook for good. From one of my favorite blogs spoon fork bacon.

White Cheddar and Black Pepper Scones

2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons  sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes (small ones)
2/3 cup sharp white cheddar
3 teaspoons cracked black pepper
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1/4 cup of heavy cream
